Deliciously Local!
This is our “statement” which says it all. We are passionate about our food and local suppliers ( lucky suppliers!!!!)
Good Quality Local Ingredients are sourced & used in our recipes giving dishes that extra flavour and texture that you only find by using really fresh and well looked after produce.
Not only do we buy local produce but use local suppliers for other “non local” goods such as toilet rolls etc. We build up a relationship with our suppliers, many of which we have been using for more than 20 years. It is a well known fact that money spent locally stays in the local community. Suppliers are often friends that use our services so the chain goes on. We have over the past few years especially worked with them to source more of the ingredients we need, thus these ingredients become available in their shops for other customers – a win win situation! On menus etc we advertise which suppliers we use and often find conference delegates make that trip to the Country Cheeses to buy a piece of cheese they have tasted at lunch! Another win!
We are currently involved in the Slow Food Movement which has a market each month in Topsham. Through this we are now helping to organise the Topsham Food Festival and Launch the Topsham Shop Local Campaign. These are all very important aspects to our daily life here in Topsham – encourage good produce, locally sourced and enjoying eating it! There’s no better life than here in Topsham……………
