A Family Day in Devon

For an exciting family day out head east from Exeter along the A3052 and stop off at the Donkey Sanctuary, where you can visit and stroke the friendly donkeys. Stop for a drink in the Hayloft Restaurant which overlooks the donkeys in the main yard. Continue on towards Seaton, where you can hop on the Seaton Tramway through the Axe Valley, travelling through two nature reserves, where you can spot wildlife along the River Axe estuary.

The tram stops at Colyton where you can have lunch at the Tram Stop restaurant, or head back to Seaton on the tram, and continue on to the seaside village of Beer where you can stop for something to eat before taking a walk along the stunning coastline. Spend the afternoon at Pecorama, home to the famous Peco model railway exhibition and the Beer Heights light railway, where there is plenty to see and do for all ages.
