We are fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies with a choice of three delightful, light filled rooms, which can accommodate from two to eighty guests.

The owners, Lynn and Paul Thurgate assure you of their very personal attention, from the early planning stages through to organising all the details and supporting you on the day.

The Tumbling Weir only ever caters for one wedding a day so the entire hotel is exclusively yours, where your guests can mingle freely throughout the rooms and gardens.

Our team of young talented chefs have created some wonderful wedding banquets and there is an extensive selection from which to make your choice.  Every wedding at the Tumbling Weir is unique and we aim to wow and delight you and your guests with our food.  We will be pleased to discuss your individual requirements to make your dreams come true.

The perfect start to your honeymoon can begin with a stay in our delightful bridal suite complete with a four poster bed handmade to our design by a local craftsman.  With nine other individually decorated bedrooms, refurbished to a high standard, your guests can also enjoy a relaxing, comfortable stay.

With our beautiful and very private gardens providing a wonderful backdrop for those important photographs, and our superb food and service, the Tumbling Weir is a perfect location for your wedding day.
