The M5 is usually the most simple route into Devon from the North and East The M5 runs directly into Exeter, where it then becomes the A38 (to Plymouth). Devon is covered by a number of A roads which you can use to reach most parts of Devon without any hinderance. From Exeter, The A380 (exit off the A38 after approx. 15 miles) will take you right to Torbay, the A30 takes you through mid-Devon, brushing the top of Dartmoor and the A377 will take you to North Devon. From Cornwall, the more common point of entry to Devon is via the Tamar bridge into Plymouth on the A38.
You can reach Devon using either the National Express coach service, or the Megabus who currently have fares as low as £1!. Refer to their sites for booking information and timetables.

There are two commercial airports in Devon. Exeter International Airport and Plymouth - with Exeter being the more commonly used, larger, airport. Exeter airport is connected to all major airports in the UK, as well as some destinations including Amsterdam, Austria, Spain and even Canada.
Where is Devon?

Devon is located in South West England. Devon shares borders with Cornwall to the west and Dorset and Somerset to the east. Its south coast abuts the English Channel and its north coast the Bristol Channel.
