The Globe Hotel,the 16th Century Coaching Inn near Exeter has been in family ownership for 31 years. Continually improving and adding facilities for our guests over that time.

It is set in the heart of Exeter’s Historic Estuary Town of Topsham. (Exeter city center 4 miles). We attract both Tourists and Business Travellers to stay at The Globe in one of our 19 en-suite bedrooms. Some rooms have Four Poster or Half Tester (pictured) beds. There are 2 ground floor rooms with other bedrooms in the courtyard annex together with some rooms in the main building providing choice for everyone. In addition this year we offer 3 fully serviced apartments in the Steam Packet Apartments above Route 2 Cafe Bar & Cycyle Hire.

Once you’ve had one of our “Hearty Westcountry Breakfasts” you’ll not want to leave. Many of our customers return time after time. The Globe is especially proud of it’s Elizabethan Restaurant offering a very high standard of Modern British Cuisine. There is a varied and imaginative choice of Fish, Vegetarian and Meat Dishes. Restaurant is closed Sundays. As with all good Inns the Globe offers a well stocked bar specialising in Real Ales and Great House Wines.

Situated in the beautiful, historic estuary town of Topsham, The Globe is a family run (30 years) XVIth Century Coaching Inn with 2 Conference Rooms, 19 Bedrooms, Restaurant and Inn Bar. Our emphasis at the Globe is on friendly and efficient service in relaxed surrounds, complemented by excellent Westcountry menus. Our Conference Room, The Malthouse can cater for up to 70 delegates Theatre or 36 delegates Board Room, alternatively for a smaller business meeting The Elizabethan can cater for up to 12 delegates Theatre or Board Room. As an exhibition space, The Malthouse ground floor dimensions are 74sq. meters (6m x 14m or 20ft x 45ft) and available equipment includes flip chart (some paper included, not unlimited, extra pads £5 each) OHP, screen, Small TV Video ( no hire charges) and an Epson Data Projection (£40 day hire, £25 ½ day hire).

Day Delegate Package
Each day package includes room hire and VAT, 3 Servings of Tea, Coffee & Biscuits and fruit juice with lunch. Price difference depends on the Menu taken for lunch to give full flexibility. We use as many local ingredients as possible to create our menus. Other menus are also available on request.

24hr Delegate Package
To include room hire and VAT, a 3 Course Dinner plus Bed & Breakfast please choose which delegate package option you would like and add £85 on for single occupancy or add £65 per person for Twin Occupancy. For any queries please do not hesitate in contacting us, we’re here to help!

Selection of Sandwiches, Cocktail Sausages, Fish Goujons & Chips/ Crisps. Min No 12 people. (extra hire charge for the room applies for 8-12 people of £25, or less than 8 people £50)

The Elizabethan Restaurant is The Globe's16th Century Coaching Inn Cafe Restaurant.

Family owned and run with an ethos of using good quality local products to create Modern British (Westcountry!) Cuisine. Expertly cooked and presented with the emphasis on flavours and textures of our fantastic ingredients.

Local Dishes such as Topsham Smokie, (smoked haddock, potato & cheese in a pot!) with classic Salads & Snacks compliment imaginative menus giving everyone the chance to taste “Real Food” from the Westcountry. (Real Ales available too with fab local juices and Wines!!)

Open: The Café Restaurant is open Mondays to Saturdays 12 to 2pm and 7pm to 9.30pm

             Most Sundays a traditional Sunday Roast at lunchtime is available

             Route 2 Cafe Bar open 8am to 8pm for fantastic breakfasts to home made Ice Creams!

The Restaurant Set Menu changes every Thursday offering the best from our local "larder". The menu is available on our website.
