The Royal Beacon Hotel forms the end of Exmouth's finest regency terrace, the Beacon, once the home of Lady Nelson and Lady Byron.
From its elevated position, it overlooks the two miles of beaches from the River Exe to the red cliffs of Orcombe Point. While retaining its period charm, all the sleeping rooms have been beautifully refurbished. As for dining, a superb daily menu is prepared from fresh local produce by chef Andy Williams.
Our recently refurbished restaurant lends itself to all manner of occasions, from intimate dinners to family reunions and weddings. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner throughout the week. Views of the Exe estuary and the sea front can be enjoyed, the area benefiting from its position at the top of the Georgian terrace that is The Beacon..... alternatively why not try Donato's, our newly refurbished Italian Restaurant located deep within our cellars.

Mushrooms in a Cream & Garlic Sauce with spinach and crisp toast
Soup of the Day served with homemade bread and salted butter
Melon and Orange Platter with a mint syrup
Chicken Liver Parfait with a red onion jam and Melba toast
Warm Goats Cheese Salad with pineapple and crisp Parma ham
River Exe Mussels steamed in white wine and garlic
Prawn Cocktail with apple and crushed avocado, tomato and complimented with a red pepper sauce
Main Remove
Sirloin Steak served with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and chips
Cod Fillets served with braised leeks, lemon and parsley
Rack of Lamb served on gratin dauphinoise potato and complimented
with a rosemary jus
Char Grilled Fillet Steak Surf and Turf with a king prawn and chive cream
Goats Cheese, Olive and Sun-Blushed Tomato Tart with a drizzle of Balsamic vinegar
Pan-Fried Red Mullet with new potatoes, olives, spinach and ratatouille
Butter Braised Chicken in Shallot, Garlic & Chilli with fondant potato & baby leaf spinach
Tender Sweet Belly Pork with braised cabbage, and an apple and calvados sauce
Roasted Salmon & Asparagus with a confit of tomato and mussels

Chef’s Message: We source all of our fresh produce from the best local suppliers and our food is, where practical always cooked to order, because of this, I hope that you will understand that there may sometimes be a waiting time, and occasionally, certain items may have ‘run out’.
