Royal Wedding Celebrations in Devon

The Royal Wedding may be taking place in Windsor, but there’s plenty of celebrations to be had in Devon this Saturday, 19th May with afternoon tea that feels even more regal than usual.

Raise a glass to the happy couple at Ilsington Country House Hotel with Prosecco upon arrival and a traditional full afternoon tea, or head over to Woodbury Park to watch the events unfold on the large screens in the Terrace, followed by a delicious afternoon tea of sandwiches, dainty cakes, scones with jam & cream, tea or coffee and bubbles to toast the newlyweds.

Over in Plymouth, Boringdon Hall Hotel’s special edition afternoon tea perfectly encapsulates this English royal celebration with sweet and savoury favourites including lemon drizzle cupcakes, miniature Battenbergs, royal iced cookies and and cucumber sandwiches. A charming selection!

The Mecure Exeter Rougemont Hotel are celebrating throughout the entire month of May with their royal afternoon tea package including a very British afternoon tea, complete with a glass of fizz, an overnight stay at the hotel and a traditional breakfast in the morning.

How about a celebratory spa treatment? Bovey Castle’s Elan Spa will be offering royal treatments fit for a princess and fit for a prince with their royal celebration couples massage. Enjoy a romantic candlelit ESPA full body aromatherapy massage followed by a celebratory glass of fizz with your other half.

Book in advance to avoid disappointment!
