Location

Mill End is a 21 bedroom country hotel and restaurant, beautifully situated on the banks of the River Teign.

There is a wealth of things to do whilst staying with us at Mill End.

One of Mill End’s great advantages is that you are already on a walk – the Two Moors Way – which runs from Exmoor in the north all the way down to the South Devon coast. From this ancient artery, you can explore fabulous routes in all directions, stepping back in time to a land of legend and mystery. Some 600 yards of private salmon and trout fishing, eight miles of game fishing and still water fishing on local lakes await your pleasure.

The historic stannary town of Chagford is just minutes away by car (or a lovely 25-minute walk along the riverbank). There are numerous enchanting eateries and gift shops not to mention the outdoor pool.  In the other direction you can walk to Fingle Bridge and divert slightly past Castle Drogo to take in the stunning views from the Teign Valley route. Within 40 minutes the world famous Dartmoor Tors can be visited or climbed and there is a wealth of gourmet opportunities from local cosy inns to world class Michelin starred restaurants. The National Trust properties of Parke, Powderham Castle and Killerton are all easily accessible plus many varied and interesting areas within Dartmoor itself.
