Dining at The Manor House Restaurant is a feast of seasonality set in a remarkable Manor House perched high above the Taw Valley. Head chef / General Manager Richie believes strongly in the concept of seasonality and supporting local suppliers. The meat comes from Heal Farm five miles away in King's Nympton and the fish from the shores of Cornwall and it is all so delicious that thoughtful balanced dishes are a staple on their menus.
They serve well balanced and freshly prepared food in their slate roof conservatory and intimate candle lit restaurant. For the ultimate in romantic dining they have completed 'The Sanctuary at Northcote Manor' a summer house where up to 6 guests can enjoy dining under the star by torch light and candle light with the Manor House as the perfect backdrop. They also offer private dining in our Oak room for up to 20 guests.

Beautifully renovated and ideal for larger meetings and conferences, this area has two dining rooms and a perfectly positioned sun terrace. Enjoying stunning views overlooking the gardens, the conservatory can accommodate up to 80 delegates in Theatre style layout.

With all the natural beauty surrounding Northcote Manor, many guests set the scene for relaxation and gentle leisure, making the most of the lawns, gardens, and views over the Taw River Valley. Take a gentle ramble through ancient fruit orchards; following paths that lead to open lawns with magnificent views. On sunny days, sip a glass of bubbles on the terrace or on chillier days, curl up in front of roaring fires with a good book and a delicious cream tea.
It may be tucked away in the Devon hills but there is plenty to explore within North Devon, and Northcote Manor is within easy reach of most attractions in the area, including the wild beauty of Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks.
Just 30 minutes’ drive to stunning coastal walks, revealing rugged and dramatic North Devon coastline. These little meanders will take you past quiet, sandy and pebbled beaches, which can be enjoyed from both an aesthetic and geological view point.
The green patchwork of countryside; with high hedgerows, streams and rivers which flow through quaint villages and towns like Great Torrington just 15 minutes away, most brimming with cafés, shops and places of interest.
The Royal Horticultural Society Gardens (the closest being Rosemoor) and National Trust properties such as Arlington Court, just outside Barnstaple and only 25 minutes by car.
