The team at Royal Glen are proud of their historical background. Princess Victoria spent her first Christmas here with her parents the Duke and Duchess of Kent, and they are happy to share with enthusiasts our memorabilia and history of the grade 1 listed building.
The Royal Glen has 4 categories of rooms, Suite (Rooms Henry,Elizabeth,Duchess & Culverwell ; Cambridge & Edinburgh 2 new suites with Hospitality area with fridge, microwave & hob for preparing light snacks) - Superior - Standard - Selected.
Henry has a separate sitting area, whilst Elizabeth has a patio door out on to the garden with its own sitting area; Superior are the larger rooms these may have a bath with overhead shower or a shower. There are 3 contemporary rooms with king size double & walk in showers. Other rooms are traditional in style with zip & link beds that may be twin or super king. There are 2 superior singles, one has a shower & one a bath, both are lift accessible.

Hotel Policies
A deposit of £50 is requested on booking & credited to the account. The reservation fee is non refundable unless re-let & the cancellation policy is to charge up to two thirds of the cost less vat. If cancelled 12 weeks in advance the deposit will be refunded less an administration fee of £10.

Their table d’hôtel menu will tempt you with a choice of both traditional and continental cuisine using the best of local produce. To follow, choose from a selection of home-made sweets. For special dietary requirements you only have to ask. Comprehensive wine list carefully chosen by their local sommelier.
Full Table d'Hote 4 course and coffee is included in Dinner Bed & Breakfast terms. Non resident or guests on bed and breakfast tariff may make a reservation. Table d'Hote menu including coffee £30.00 If on Bed & Breakfast terms kindly make a reservation for dinner in advance to avoid disappointment; the menu changes daily. For diners wishing to have just one or two courses the menu may be individually priced for your preference.
The Royal Glen welcomes non residents at all times: Breakfast by reservation, morning coffee; lunchtime bar snacks; afternoon tea; evening dining 6.45 - 8.15 by reservation : Kent Bar is open from 6pm - 11pm.
For lunch choose from a range of bar snacks served in our cosy bar or sunny veranda.
Breakfast served from 8am until 9.30: Help yourself from a selection of juices, cereals,yogurt & fruits followed by a full English Traditional or Kipper or Smoked Haddock.
