Overlooking the sea and Esplanade, the hotel restaurant retains the traditional standards of crisp white linen and silver service delivered by the friendly and attentive waiting staff.

Their menus combine the best of classic and modern cuisine and are prepared by their highly regarded head chef, Mark Leavers and his team, using the finest fresh, locally-sourced produce.

Catering for all tastes

The four-course table d’hote dinner menu offers a choice at all courses as well as a selection of vegetarian options. After dinner coffee and mints are served in the bar and lounges.

The comprehensive and well-priced wine list has been carefully selected to complement many of the dishes on their menu.

Children are welcome to join you in the restaurant at dinner.

Their full and hearty breakfast will set you up for the day. Choose from a traditional English, poached Finnan haddock, or whole smoked kippers. For a lighter option, they also serve cereals and a continental breakfast selection. All served to your table.

Sport and Recreation in Sidmouth

Cricket

Sidmouth Cricket Club could be described as one of the most beautiful grounds in the country. Overlooking the sea and back-dropped by the splendid Regency façade of Fortfield Terrace, it is quintessentially English. Cricket can be enjoyed throughout July and August.

Complimentary season tickets are available, which entitle hotel guests to use deckchairs and to enter the picturesque thatched clubhouse. 

Tennis

Tennis is played alongside the cricket ground at Sidmouth Tennis Club where complimentary playing membership is available to hotel guests. 

Golf

Hotel guests are entitled to reduced green fees at Sidmouth Golf Club. The 18-hole parkland course offers breath-taking views over Sid Valley and Lyme Bay.

Woodbury Park, just eight miles from Sidmouth, is a magnificent par 72 course.

Budleigh Salterton offers an 18-hole cliff top and heathland course.

Bowling and Other Activities

The Manor Pavilion Theatre and Arts Centre

A full summer season of live entertainment can be enjoyed at Sidmouth’s Manor Pavilion Theatre.

Sidmouth Town Band

During the summer, Sidmouth’s Town Band performs concerts every Sunday evening at the eastern end of the Esplanade.

Sidmouth Folk Week

Each year during early August, Sidmouth hosts Sidmouth Folk Week. During the week, the town welcomes dance teams, folk artists, theatre and crafts. (Please note – entertainment offered in the hotel differs during this week).
